Custom copper, brass or bronze components can be requested with sand/investment casting and CNC machining. Stainless steel, steel, aluminum, iron and plastic are separate material scopes. Select the complete grade and compatible manufacturing method for each item within its own component definition.
Define the required work and supplied stage
Casting, welding, forging and machining enquiries should identify the actual metal part and incoming form; plastic items need their own production definition. Operations include broaching, drilling, milling, turning, tapping and wire processing, with the wire method to specify. Mold work, deburring, surface treatment and packing are also included in the service scope.
Keep casting and machining limits distinct
The casting reference is CT4–CT8 and the machining reference is ±0.02 mm. Assign dimensions, datums and acceptance stages for the selected component. Finish choices are polishing, passivation, sandblasting, zinc plating and black oxidation, with coverage and contact conditions matched to the actual substrate.
Identify the governing documents
Specification families are ISO, GB, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BSW, ASTM, ASME, BS, API and EN. Name the complete documents and editions, and request applicable ISO9001:2015-related and TUV documentation with its actual scope.
- Provide quantity and the controlling drawing revision.
- Identify material and dimensional approval records.
- Mark functional and visible surface requirements.
- Explain the purpose of an initial approval component.
Retain the selected material, route and finished-interface definition with the order.
