Tailored sand-casting enquiries should identify the material and moulding requirement for the actual drawing. This OEM scope includes ductile-iron and grey-iron clay-sand or resin-coated-sand requests, with separate aluminum- and zinc-alloy components. Tolerances follow the customer drawing.
Select the grade and molding requirement
Provide the full material designation and component geometry. Identify whether the iron design calls for clay-sand or resin-coated-sand work. An aluminum- or zinc-alloy enquiry should define its own grade and suitable route rather than share an assumed process with every iron part.
- Supply the component drawing and selected grade.
- Identify the sand-moulding requirement for the design.
- State the quantity and required supplied condition.
- Mark finished interfaces and acceptance limits.
Choose the treatment for the selected metal
Painting, anodizing, powder coating and electrophoresis are named finishing choices. Select the treatment and appearance needed by the component and identify contact areas requiring particular instructions. The finished condition should be specified alongside the material and drawing.
Define inspection before shipment
The service states 100% inspection before shipment and export packaging. Agree the dimensions and surface characteristics checked for the order. State the records needed to demonstrate acceptance of the actual casting and required finish.
Agree quantity and document requirements
The minimum order is negotiable. Identify the component quantity and scope for quotation, with the relevant material and acceptance requirements. ISO2009 is the stated qualification reference; establish the exact document and applicable supplier scope rather than assuming a particular ISO certificate.
