Custom ductile-iron mechanical accessories can be requested with precision machining and selected clay green-sand or gravity-casting scope. Define the actual part drawing, iron grade and custom dimensions. A separately requested continuous-casting scope needs its own component and production-function definition.
Locate the accessory’s working interfaces
Show mounting points, contacting geometry and the features locating the accessory in its mechanical assembly. Mark the datum relationships and dimensions that control fit. Identify the material condition and the surfaces that must be accepted in the required supplied state.
Turn the tolerance reference into agreed limits
The reference value is 0.01, with its unit to be specified. Assign the unit, affected dimensions, allowable limits and assessment stage on the drawing. Distinguish precision-machined interfaces from areas accepted in their cast form so the quotation describes the required result clearly.
- Provide quantity and the controlled revision.
- Identify cast and finished surface boundaries.
- State material and dimensional approval records.
- Define the required contact and appearance condition.
Set surface and order requirements
Surface treatment is negotiable for the selected component. Describe coverage, masking and any visual reference needed for approval. Agree current processing availability and the capacity basis for the actual order, alongside the requested sample and production scope. Keep the selected iron, drawing and supplied-state definition attached to approval so the mechanical accessory has a consistent part-specific procurement brief.
