Custom gray-iron and steel-alloy sand-casting enquiries can include CNC and micro-machining services. Select the material and route for the drawing before defining the finished component. Additional precision metalwork and rapid-prototyping requests should identify the geometry and supplied condition being ordered.

Choose material and operations for the design

Capabilities include aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals, precious metals, stainless steel and steel alloys. Named operations include broaching, drilling, etching or chemical machining, laser machining, milling, turning and wire EDM. Assign the required work to the appropriate selected material and component interfaces.

Define the micro-machined and cast geometry

Mark the datums, dimensions and acceptance limits relevant to the small details and fitted surfaces. Distinguish areas accepted as cast from those requiring subsequent work. Punching is an additional process request for suitable geometry, with its own scope rather than a compulsory casting operation.

Provide usable design information

Drawing-system references are Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, Unigraphics and AutoCAD, with IGS, STP, STL and X-T file references. Supply the controlled revision and identify the geometry governing the component. Include quantity and what a requested prototype is intended to demonstrate.

Agree final appearance and approval

A painted finish can be requested within customized OEM work. Define coverage, masking and appearance acceptance on the actual part. Set material, dimensional and surface records for approval so the casting or separate machined component is assessed against the selected design and delivered state.
