OEM and ODM iron sand-casting enquiries include grey iron, ductile iron or ADI, selected for the actual component drawing. Define the complete grade and required supplied condition. The geometry, quantity and approval requirements should establish the scope of the manufacturing enquiry.

Specify any separate fabrication request

Blanking, bending, forming, welding and anodizing are named requests requiring the actual material and incoming blank to be identified. Define which work applies to the selected item rather than treating those operations as mandatory steps after every iron casting. The finished dimensions and treatment acceptance need a component-specific basis.

Choose the examination and measurement records

Named testing resources include a spectrograph, CMM, PP, roughness tester and tension tester. Identify the actual PP method and the tests, coverage and acceptance required for the order. Distinguish material examination from dimensional or surface measurement in the approval record.

  • Provide the controlled revision and order quantity.
  • Mark functional datums and finished interfaces.
  • State the full grade and material condition.
  • Define the supplied-stage and surface acceptance.

Name the standards and qualification scope

DIN, AISI, SAE, ASTM, UNS, GOST, ISO, BS, EN and JIS are standard families requiring complete documents and editions. Identify applicable documents and scope for ISO9001, TS16949, the designation ISO1400 and RoHS. Include any production-efficiency or sample approval requirements in the actual enquiry, with the selected geometry and acceptance references kept consistent.
