Custom green-sand casting enquiries cover grey-iron and ductile-iron valve parts or flywheels for industrial, automotive and electrical-component requests. Select the actual component and complete grade. A valve-duty requirement and a rotating-service requirement need their own drawing, supplied condition and acceptance criteria.
Define the geometry for the selected duty
For a valve part, identify the connection and internal interfaces that control assembly and service. For a flywheel, define the locating geometry and any rotating-service checks required by the design. Generator-related requests should state the actual component function and operating requirements.
Separate casting and machining acceptance
Mold work, casting, CNC lathe work and milling-center processing are named within the service scope. The casting reference is CT4–CT9, while machining references are ±0.005 mm and ISO2768-mk. Assign each requirement to agreed dimensions, the relevant document and the delivered stage being measured.
- Provide the controlled drawing and order quantity.
- Mark functional interfaces and the measurement datum scheme.
- Define the material condition and required acceptance records.
- Identify any application-specific testing or sample approval.
Coordinate treatment and quality planning
Annealing, quench-and-temper and ADI-related treatments should match the chosen grade and required condition. Zinc plating, painting and powder coating are named finish options. PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA are quality-planning services to scope for the order. Connect the selected treatment and planning requirements to the actual component, including any masking or appearance criteria at finished interfaces.
