Industrial water-pump housings can be requested as cast-steel sand castings with CNC machining. Separate stainless-steel, aluminum or cast-iron housings need their own complete material grade and condition. Define the actual pump assembly and the supplied geometry required for the selected component.
Translate thermal duty into material requirements
A heat-resistant request needs the operating temperature, medium and duty conditions used for selection. State the required material condition and acceptance criteria for that environment. Connect these requirements to the chosen housing rather than relying on an unquantified heat-resistance description.
Establish the pump interfaces
Show mounting geometry, working contacts and locating references with the mating components. Identify the housing connections whose relationships need to be evaluated together. Mark interfaces requiring CNC work and define their dimensional limits. Agree measurement conditions where several relationships are assessed together for the pump’s final assembly.

Define housing acceptance
