DimensionsCustomer Required
Large heavy-duty reducer housings can be requested as gray-iron sand castings with HT250 or HT200 references, or as separately specified ductile-iron components. Select the complete grade for the actual housing. Customized dimensions and tolerances should describe its supplied condition and working fit.
Define the reducer-housing relationships
Show the locating, mounting and mating interfaces with adjoining machinery. State the operating duty and material condition behind the heavy-duty request. Mark the geometry and reference conditions used to assess the housing’s final installation.
Select a compatible finishing request
Polishing, sandblasting and plating need defined coverage, appearance and contact requirements. Color-anodizing enquiries require the compatible substrate and actual supplied item to be established independently. Identify any masking where the selected surface work affects a working housing interface.
Set inspection and application acceptance
The stated 100% inspection needs checks and records tied to the selected housing. Automotive, medical, agricultural, train, valve and textile applications require their actual duty and approval criteria. Identify the material, dimensional and surface evidence necessary to accept the component for its intended role.
- OEM/ODM enquiries should state housing quantity and drawing revision.
- Keep the complete ductile-iron designation separate from gray-iron references.
- Request applicable ISO9001:2008 and ISO/TS16949 records and activity scope.
- Explain the housing characteristics required for initial approval.
Retain accepted grade, geometry and finishing changes with the reducer-component definition used for subsequent supply.
