Industrial die-cast component enquiries should start with one selected material and a defined drawing. Aluminum is the stated component material, with ADC12 named as a grade enquiry. Zinc alloy, stainless steel, iron, copper and brass are separate material requests within the broader component scope.
Select the grade and viable manufacturing route
Specify the complete material designation and applicable standard for the actual part. ADC12 should be identified through the selected grade requirement rather than treated as an implied aluminum-zinc recipe. Die casting and sand casting are separate route enquiries to evaluate for the chosen material and geometry.
- Provide the industrial component drawing and revision.
- Select the material grade and governing specification.
- Identify the required casting route for the design.
- State quantity and the intended supplied condition.
- Mark acceptance dimensions and functional interfaces.
- Describe any separate powder-related supply request.
Define precision through the actual component
Identify the dimensions that determine assembly or function and state their acceptance limits. The general precision wording does not assign a numerical casting tolerance. Describe the required delivered condition and any additional requested work so the quotation addresses the part as it will be received.
Clarify powder-related enquiries separately
If powder supply or processing is required, identify whether the request concerns feedstock, a component or another defined task. Specify the material and acceptance requirements for that deliverable. Keeping this scope separate avoids assuming a powder-metallurgy process from a broad keyword and gives the industrial-component order a clear identity.
