Industrial casting enquiries include iron or steel sand-cast parts and aluminum components, with CNC-frame casting requests defined by their actual drawing. OEM/ODM work can include secondary milling, tapping and grinding, followed by the required painted surface condition.
Identify the industrial casting being ordered
Choose the material grade and provide the geometry, mounting arrangement and intended component function. For a CNC frame, identify the structural envelope and the interfaces that need secondary work. The actual drawing should establish the dimensions and service requirements used to accept the casting.
Define other die-cast projects separately
Aluminum die-casting requests and zinc-alloy automotive or cylinder-head projects are additional enquiries with their own material and route requirements. Provide a separate drawing and acceptance brief for each deliverable. Keeping these choices clear helps the supplier quote the component actually required by the industrial or automotive assembly.
- Select iron, steel, aluminum or the separate zinc-alloy project.
- Provide the controlled drawing and order quantity.
- Mark milled, tapped and ground interfaces.
- Specify painting coverage and supplied condition.
- Define material and dimensional acceptance requirements.
Specify the standard and qualification documents
GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are named standard families. Identify the exact documents and editions relevant to the selected material and part. Request applicable current supplier documents for the ISO9001-2008 reference with the drawing and inspection requirements, keeping approval tied to the actual component scope.
