Custom QT400 ductile iron support castings are offered through sand casting with optional machining and surface treatment. Painted surfaces, customer-requested finishes and custom colors are available. Define the support's mounting geometry and complete material requirement for the selected design.
Describe the support load path
Show how the component connects to the surrounding assembly and the direction of its working loads. Identify fixing positions, locating faces and mating parts on the drawing. Specify the complete governing QT400 designation and the load case that the selected support must satisfy for its intended use.
Mark the interfaces requiring further work
Machining can be included when needed. Define the required operations, dimensional limits and governing datums for the finished support. Identify surfaces whose fit must be assessed after painting or another selected treatment. State the surface result and any handling protection required for functional or visible areas.
Provide files and approval requirements
Drawing inputs include 2D, 3D, CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF and IGS. Identify the controlling revision when several files describe the part. Quality control is stated as 100% inspection; agree the dimensions, surfaces and records to be covered for the actual support.
