Custom precision-part enquiries should define the selected casting material and finished machining requirements. This scope names stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum with investment, sand, die and gravity-casting route enquiries. CNC and micro machining are offered for the geometry specified by the component drawing.
Select the metal and casting route together
Identify the full material grade and manufacturing route for the requested part. Additional materials include brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals and precious metals. Discuss the appropriate blank and route for one design rather than treating every named metal as available through every casting process.
- Provide the component drawing and selected material grade.
- Identify the required casting blank and route.
- State quantity and the desired delivered condition.
- Mark machining interfaces and their dimensional limits.
- Describe required inspection and any requested surface work.
- Identify application requirements relevant to the component.
Define the CNC and micro-machining work
Broaching, drilling, laser machining, milling and other machining services are named scope. Select the operations needed by the drawing and identify the dimensions controlled after machining. For micro-machined geometry, include numerical limits and the inspection requirements needed for acceptance.
Agree a complete delivered-part requirement
State how the part must be supplied and which interfaces establish its fit or function. Any additional requested treatment or work should be described explicitly for quotation. The selected grade, casting route and finished dimensions should refer to the same controlled design. This gives the custom component a measurable acceptance basis without assigning an unstated general precision or capacity.
