Custom machinery castings can be purchased with optional machining and a selected surface finish. This OEM/ODM enquiry covers steel and stainless-steel parts, alongside separate aluminum, brass and copper component requests. Dimensions and tolerances follow the customer drawing, with STP design files accepted.
Make the drawing and material request consistent
Specify the component's metal grade and the drawing revision to be quoted. Identify the geometry and dimensions that determine its fit within the machinery assembly. If several material options are being evaluated, describe each as a separate enquiry so the proposal remains clear about the part being supplied.
- Provide the STP model and controlled dimensional information.
- Name the required metal grade and applicable specification.
- Identify the component's machinery function and quantity.
- Mark dimensions needing machining and finished inspection.
- Select the surface condition and any special packing requirements.
- State the supplier documents needed for purchasing.
Coordinate optional machining with the finish
The supply sequence includes casting, machining if needed and surface treatment. Painting, powder coating and sandblasting are finishing options for the selected material. Identify areas where coating or surface work must preserve a contact condition, mating dimension or required appearance.
Define the delivered condition
State whether the order requires the cast part with selected finished interfaces or another explicitly described supply condition. Customer-specific packing can be included in the request. Keep the dimensional acceptance and surface requirements tied to the component as it will be received.
Address the qualification reference through relevant documents
ISO9001-2008 is the stated certification reference. Identify the applicable current documentation and supplier scope needed for the order. Those requirements should accompany the material and drawing specification so both technical and procurement review concern the same component.
