Industrial additive-manufacturing projects should identify the functional prototype, printed component or casting-related deliverable required. This OEM/ODM enquiry includes 3D printing, rapid prototyping, metal-casting and sand-mould requests. STP/STEP, STL and 3MF files are supported, with customized packaging.

Select technology and material for one project

Technologies include FDM, white inkjet printing, laser-cladding deposition, MJF, selective laser melting, DLP, SLA, SLS and binder jetting. Choose the actual process and grade for the desired item. The available selections should be matched as a compatible pair rather than treated as universal material/process capability.

  • Identify the printed item, prototype or mould deliverable.
  • Provide the controlled geometry and evaluation purpose.
  • Select technology and the actual material grade.
  • Mark required dimensions and surface acceptance.
  • State quantity and delivered-condition requirements.
  • Define any application documents and custom packaging.

Define the material request precisely

Metal enquiries cover stainless steel, aluminum alloys, die/tool steel, titanium and titanium alloys, and CoCr/nickel alloys. Other choices include ceramics, PP, PEI 9085/1010, PA11/PA12 nylon, ABS/ASA, TPU flexible film and gypsum/plaster. Resin enquiries include standard, high-performance, high-temperature, high-elasticity, clear, ABS-like photopolymer and biocompatible grades. Select the required properties and application acceptance for the actual material.

Agree dimensional and intended-use acceptance

The general-tolerance reference is 0.01 mm, with convention and controlled dimensions to be agreed. Roughness-measurement instruments and heat-deflection requirements are client-defined. Industrial, automotive, housing, aerospace/aviation, art and sculpture projects should provide their own duty and qualification requirements. Those criteria should define the selected prototype or part without assuming approval from a material or application label.
