Aluminum sand- or investment-cast parts can be requested with CNC machining and rapid prototyping. Define what the prototype must demonstrate about the selected component’s shape, fit or supplied condition. A production request should carry forward the accepted material and drawing definition.
Choose material and compatible work
Separate requests cover stainless steel, steel, brass, copper, iron and plastic. Select each complete grade and incoming form for suitable casting, machining, welding or forging work. Broaching, drilling, milling, turning, tapping and wire processing are named; specify the wire method required by the actual part.
Separate prototype and finished acceptance
CT4–CT8 is the casting-tolerance reference, while machining is referenced at ±0.02 mm. Assign applicable dimensions and stages, with measurement conditions for mating interfaces. Define which prototype characteristics establish approval and which production records are required for the supplied component.
- Supply stages name molds, casting, deburring, machining, surface treatment and packing.
- Finish requests include polishing, passivation, sandblasting, zinc plating and black oxidation.
- Specify the compatible substrate, treated areas and required surface result.
- State the part quantity and controlling drawing revision.
Identify governing records
Document families include ISO, GB, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BSW, ASTM, ASME, BS, API and EN. Specify the complete document and edition relevant to the chosen component. Request applicable ISO9001:2015-related and TUV records with their holder and activity scope, keeping approved prototype changes attached to the production definition.
