Select the complete grade and actual production route for each material request. Tolerances follow the drawing, making the controlled geometry the starting point for the manufacturing and inspection brief.
Separate the material choice from the finished shape
Identify the intended use and the interfaces that must fit the adjoining assembly. A drawing should distinguish surfaces accepted in their cast condition from dimensions requiring further work. The quotation can then connect the chosen material with one defined component rather than treating different metal requests as a single configuration.
