A machinery investment casting should have a selected grade and an agreed finished geometry before production is defined. This OEM service offers lost-wax cast components with CNC precision machining for industrial-part enquiries. Specify the material and final interfaces so the proposed casting and machining scope addresses the component required by the assembly.
Specify the grade with its standard
The material designation should identify the actual requirement for the component rather than combine different labels into one composition. Carbon-steel and aluminum-alloy enquiries are separate choices alongside the stainless offering. Select the relevant standard and delivery condition for the ordered part.
- 304 is a material enquiry designation.
- 316 is another component-grade choice.
- 310 is available for separate material discussion.
- 1.4301 is a further named designation for the enquiry.
Separate casting CT from machined dimensions
CT4-CT6 is the casting-tolerance reference for the service. Identify the dimensions to which it applies and the areas requiring subsequent CNC work. The component drawing should distinguish the blank requirements from the final interfaces and their agreed measurement basis.
Choose the surface for the industrial part
Sandblasting and polishing are the surface-treatment options for the component. State the required result at the relevant surfaces, keeping it attached to the selected material and geometry. A defined treatment helps the buyer assess the completed item against the intended machinery application.
Inspect against the order requirement
The quality-control scope includes 100% inspection. Agree the applicable checks, shell or binder requirements and acceptance criteria for the actual component. For an OEM investment casting, the supplied part should be evaluated against the approved grade, drawing and final condition rather than a general material-family description.
