OEM industrial hardware enquiries cover ductile-iron castings with powder-coated surfaces. Shell-mould and resin-sand casting requirements can be specified for the selected part. Provide the hardware drawing and complete iron grade together with the duty expected in the intended equipment.
Describe how the hardware carries its duty
Show the component’s attachment points, contacting surfaces and relationship to surrounding equipment. Identify the operating loads and conditions relevant to material selection. Explain which dimensions govern installation so the heavy-duty request has a concrete design and acceptance basis.
Set the geometry needed from the casting
Mark datum relationships and controlled dimensions on the drawing. Identify the areas accepted in a cast condition and any interfaces requiring further work. Discuss the desired form and supplied state when selecting the moulding proposal for the component.
- Define powder-coating coverage and the intended visible result. Specify color and the reference used to assess it.
- Mark surfaces that require masking or a particular contact condition.
- Identify edges and openings where finish affects assembly.
- State the coating and dimensional checks needed for approval.
Connect appearance approval to the hardware order
Include quantity, revision and required material records in the enquiry. If a sample is used, explain whether it demonstrates geometry, coating appearance or the complete supplied result. Retain those requirements for production acceptance, with the selected material, route and finished interfaces all attached to the same component definition.
