Distinguish the accessory's cast shape from its interfaces
Show how the accessory connects to the surrounding equipment and which dimensions establish that fit. Mark the faces, bores or other areas requiring CNC work. The drawing should make clear which dimensions apply to the cast geometry and which apply after the requested machining.
Select the alloy and applicable standard
Name the aluminum-alloy designation and its governing specification. GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are named standard families, with the applicable document chosen for the actual part. A consistent grade and drawing revision allow the casting and machining requirements to be reviewed together.
