Aluminum wheel enquiries include sand-cast flywheels and separately selected high-pressure die-cast handwheels for machinery components. OEM/ODM work should identify the wheel’s actual function and complete alloy. Define the required route and supplied state for each drawing-based request.
Specify rotating-service requirements for a flywheel
Show the mounting and locating geometry connecting the flywheel to its intended assembly. State the operating duty and any design-specific checks required for acceptance. Mark dimensional relationships controlling installation and the interfaces requiring a particular final condition.
Define the handwheel’s operating interface
For a handwheel request, identify the connection and surrounding clearance needed for use in the machinery. Provide the dimensions and contact geometry relevant to the design. Keep this component’s drawing and manufacturing requirement separate from the flywheel definition. Identify the wheel’s operating and connection requirements within the approved drawing revision.
