Custom cast-iron component enquiries are available from a stated minimum of 10 pieces. This OEM/ODM scope includes lost-wax/investment casting and separate sand-casting requests, with machining when needed before the requested surface treatment. Material, size, color and finish follow customer requirements.
Identify the component and required iron grade
Provide the part drawing and explain its function in the intended equipment. Select the iron grade and applicable material requirement for that design. Industrial, automotive, agricultural-machinery and pump components are enquiry areas, with each ordered part needing its own geometry and acceptance basis.
- Supply the component drawing and required quantity.
- Select the material grade and casting-route requirement.
- Mark dimensions requiring machining and final inspection.
- Describe the desired color and surface condition.
Define the route and delivered scope together
Specify the lost-wax/investment or sand-casting requirement for the chosen material and part geometry. Identify the surfaces that need finished machining and the condition required after treatment. This allows the quotation to describe the casting, any machining and the finish for one clearly identified component.
Set the acceptance and qualification requirements
Put numerical limits on dimensions that control assembly or function, and define the surface checks needed for the delivered part. State any material records or application-specific acceptance required by the project. ISO9001:2015 is the stated certification reference; identify the applicable supplier documentation and scope. The drawing and supplied-condition requirements should provide a consistent basis for accepting the custom casting.
