    Customer's Drawing Request

FCD500 nodular or spheroidal-graphite ductile-iron sand castings can be requested for automotive and machinery components. OEM/ODM service supports customer-defined sizes and drawing tolerances. A grey-iron request needs its own complete material specification and component acceptance requirements.

Choose the governing material document

Identify the actual ASTM A536 designation where that standard is required by the order. Define any cross-standard requirement independently against the chosen material and intended duty. The selected document, grade and required condition should remain attached to the actual component drawing.

Explain what the part must fit

Show the mounting arrangement, locating references and contact geometry within its assembly. Identify dimensional relationships that must be assessed together for installation. State the supplied condition at which limits apply, including any additional processing or surface needs requested for agreement during quotation.

Set the complete inspection requirement

Quality control provides 100% inspection under an ISO9001 system for the selected casting work. Agree the characteristics, methods and reporting required to demonstrate the component’s actual acceptance. Request applicable system documentation with the relevant holder and activity scope, keeping material-grade acceptance distinct from finished machinery approval.

Control the initial and repeat order

Provide quantity, the current drawing revision and the records required for initial-part evaluation. Describe the operating environment relevant to the chosen iron and geometry. Retain approved changes to material, working interfaces and final condition within the component definition so subsequent requests follow the same agreed design and inspection plan.
