Custom ZL101 or A356 aluminum sand castings are offered for machinery components with OEM/ODM and 3D-printing requests. Deburring, drilling, threading, shot blasting and T6 heat treatment are listed. Define the complete alloy specification and required condition for the actual component drawing.

Identify the printed item and casting deliverable

Specify whether the 3D-printing request concerns the part, tooling or another defined item within the supply. Show the component’s working role and interfaces in the intended assembly. A separate customized steel-casting request needs its own material, route and acceptance definition.

Set drilled and threaded-interface acceptance

Mark mounting, locating and connection geometry with the datums controlling fit. Identify drilling and thread requirements and the dimensions assessed after the selected treatment or processing. Distinguish cast-state areas from interfaces needing a particular final condition.

Define the treated and blasted result

Specify the material condition required from heat treatment and the records needed to approve it. Mark shot-blast coverage and any other customer-requested surface requirements. Define the edge condition after deburring and the appearance or contact result at functional areas.

  • Provide quantity and the controlling drawing revision.
  • Identify material and dimensional approval records.
  • Explain what an initial component must demonstrate.
  • Retain approved geometry and treatment changes with the order.

Keep acceptance connected to the selected aluminum grade, actual printed or cast deliverable and required supplied state.
