Custom OEM enquiries cover carbon-steel sand-mold and resin-coated-sand castings, with separately selected iron shell-molding components. Specify the full grade and actual component drawing for the order. The required delivered condition should make the material and molding request clear before quotation.
Start from the casting’s function
Show how the part fits its assembly and which surfaces establish its position. Identify the mounting and mating geometry, together with any internal form needed to understand the component. A complete material designation gives the enquiry a defined basis beyond a broad ferrous-metal description.
- Provide the controlled drawing revision and quantity.
- State the grade and required material condition.
- Mark functional dimensions and datum relationships.
- Define the final surface and supplied-state acceptance.
Set the actual molding requirements
Identify the resin-coated-sand or shell-molding scope for the selected part and material. Use controlled dimensions and sections to explain the geometry to be delivered. Where further processing is requested, distinguish its final interfaces from areas accepted in their cast state.
Make approval reproducible
Agree the material, dimensional and surface records needed for the actual casting, including any additional checks requested in the quotation. A reference sample should be paired with the drawing and any worn or damaged areas identified. Use the same grade, revision and supplied condition for sample approval and subsequent production so the ordered component has one consistent acceptance basis.
