Steel and iron sand-casting enquiries are offered with CNC machining, sandblasting and black powder coating. OEM/ODM parts follow the customer drawing, with steel, mild steel, carbon steel, ductile iron or grey iron selected for the actual component.
Specify the metal and component function
Provide the complete material grade and explain how the part is used within its assembly. Identify the mounting, locating and mating dimensions that influence acceptance. The drawing and material requirement should define the requested casting rather than treating all steel and iron families as equivalent choices.
Allocate CNC machining to the required interfaces
Mark the surfaces and dimensions that must be finished by CNC machining. Keep the cast geometry and final machining requirements clear on the drawing, including the relevant datums and tolerance limits. This gives the supplier a component-specific basis for discussing the machining work and its inspection.
- Submit the controlled drawing and full metal designation.
- Identify sand-cast geometry and CNC-finished interfaces.
- Specify sandblasting and black powder-coating coverage.
- Mark surfaces requiring masking or a different condition.
- State quantity and the inspection requirements.
Set finish and supplier-document acceptance
Professional inspection is stated. Define the methods, coverage and records needed to accept the actual material, dimensions and finished surface. Request applicable current supplier documents for the ISO9001:2008 qualification reference, keeping the agreed checks and coating requirements with the approved component drawing for the order.
