Set the required finished dimensions before defining the custom aluminum casting and any optional machining. Aluminum sand- or die-casting requests are assessed against the actual alloy and drawing, while steel or iron components are specified independently with their compatible manufacturing route. This OEM/ODM enquiry ties each deliverable to its own geometry and final condition.
Assign Precision to the Controlled Dimensions
The precision reference is ±0.005 mm, with the applicable features, final stage and checking conditions agreed for the drawing. Mark the interfaces that must satisfy those limits and identify any machining required to reach the ordered condition. That keeps the precision request specific to the component without turning one reference into a universal as-cast tolerance.
Provide a Complete Material and Drawing Requirement
Choose the full grade and applicable route for the actual aluminum, steel or iron item. GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are standard-family references; name the governing document and grade needed for the design. Accepted drawing data includes PDF, CAD, IGES and STEP, with custom sizes and surface treatment defined through the customer requirements.
Use the same drawing revision to identify the final material, dimensional and surface criteria. State which interfaces govern assembly and which surfaces require a particular final appearance or condition. Those details allow the optional secondary work to be discussed against an assessable component requirement.
Agree the Inspection Basis for Approval
The service includes 100% inspection, with actual methods, coverage and records selected for the ordered part. Submit the quantity and supplied condition alongside the controlled-feature requirements. A completed custom casting enquiry connects the selected material and route to the ±0.005 mm features that genuinely need that acceptance, leaving independently specified steel or iron work clearly separated from the aluminum request.
