Set the surface-roughness requirement for the industrial iron casting through the drawing and the condition in which it will be checked. This resin-sand enquiry includes GGG40, GGG50 or GGG60 ductile-iron requests with CNC processing, alongside separately specified FC250 gray-iron work. Keep the chosen material and measured surfaces attached to the actual component.

Separate the Casting and Machining References

Casting tolerance is referenced as CT9–CT11, while machining is referenced up to IT7 with Ra0.8–3.2. Agree the governing dimensional convention, roughness unit, assessed surfaces and measurement stage before those references are used for approval. The drawing or reference sample should show which interfaces require the finished condition.

  • CNC machining can be assigned to the selected industrial-part interfaces.
  • Drilling and tapping can follow the actual hole and thread requirements.
  • Milling and boring can be specified for the relevant faces and bores.

Connect the Coating to Surface Acceptance

Dacromat coating and finish painting are the named surface options. Define the actual substrate, treatment coverage and final appearance rather than treating the coating name as the whole acceptance requirement. The roughness criteria should remain tied to the surfaces and stage that the component drawing requires.

Keep the Ordered Iron Part Clearly Identified

Choose the complete governing grade independently for the ductile or gray-iron component. Valve-cover packing uses a multilayer wooden box with a large plastic bag inside, with applicability agreed for the selected work. Provide quantity, functional interfaces and final material, dimensional and surface criteria so the casting enquiry leads to an assessable industrial part. Any drawing or sample revision should accompany the same material and roughness requirements used for approval.
