Custom stainless-steel investment- or sand-casting enquiries include hardness and wear requirements, alongside separate A380, ADC12 or AlSi7Mg aluminum die-cast and machined components. Select the complete grade and actual drawing for the requested item. A wax-related process request should identify the method intended for that component.
Specify the duty behind hardness or wear acceptance
Identify the component function, operating conditions and acceptance requirements established by the design. Automotive, motorcycle and industrial parts each need their own interfaces and supplied condition. A material name alone should not replace the design’s actual hardness or wear criterion.
Assign the tolerance to the delivered stage
The tolerance reference is 0.05–0.2 mm. Define its convention and applicable dimensions, with datums and measurement locations marked on the drawing. Identify any interfaces requiring machining and distinguish their final condition from the surrounding cast form.
- Give the controlled drawing revision and quantity.
- State the selected grade and required material condition.
- Mark finished dimensions and functional contact areas.
- Identify material, dimensional and surface approval records.
Select the finish and document scope
Painting, hot-dip galvanizing, shot blasting and polishing are named finish enquiries. Specify the actual substrate, treatment process and masking boundaries for the selected part. Provide a visual reference for any appearance-critical surface. Identify applicable TS16949 qualification documents and scope, and connect any sample approval to the same drawing, material and supplied condition used for the order.
