ADC12 aluminum machinery components can be requested through die- or sand-casting enquiries. Zinc-alloy, stainless-steel and iron items are separate material requests. Select the actual component and compatible route before defining the geometry and supplied condition needed by the industrial assembly.
Describe the machinery connection
Show how the chosen part mounts, locates or contacts adjoining equipment. State the working duty and environment relevant to that function. The material definition should include the complete grade and condition required by the selected design.
Make fit requirements explicit
Provide a dimensioned drawing with the references governing alignment or installation. Put permitted limits on the relationships that affect the part’s working fit. Define measurement conditions where several machinery interfaces are evaluated together for acceptance.
Set the required surface condition
Identify the appearance and contact requirements at visible or functional areas. Distinguish regions accepted in their cast state from surfaces needing a separately requested result. Agree that result for the selected substrate rather than assuming one treatment applies across all material alternatives.
- State the ADC12 or separate component’s quantity and current revision.
- Identify material and dimensional evidence needed for approval.
- Explain what an initial item must demonstrate against the machinery interfaces.
Retain accepted grade, geometry and surface decisions within the part definition so a later industrial request remains connected to the same assembly role and supplied condition.
