Industrial aluminum sand-casting components are defined by the customer drawing and required supplied condition. Select the full material and geometry for the actual part. The precision request should identify the dimensions and interfaces needing controlled acceptance rather than rely on a general service description.

Assign alloy references to the casting or mould

Named references include LM-4, LM-6 and LM-24, alongside other aluminum alloys. Identify the complete designation and governing document for the ordered component or associated mould requirement. Keep the material condition and supplied-item definition explicit for each part of the enquiry.

Show the geometry that establishes fit

Mark mounting, locating and mating relationships within the intended assembly. Put datums and dimensional limits on the drawing. Identify which casting interfaces are assessed together for the industrial assembly. Distinguish the general cast form from areas requiring a particular final condition or further work in the requested supply scope.

Define material and surface approval

Identify the required material, dimensional and appearance records. State the final condition of working or visible surfaces, including any requested treatment and coverage. Explain the purpose of a reference sample and the characteristics an initial component must demonstrate.

  • Provide quantity and the controlling revision.
  • Identify the actual industrial-component duty.
  • Specify the required delivered state.
  • Retain approved geometry and material changes with the drawing.

Keep those requirements attached to acceptance of the selected aluminum casting and associated tooling scope.
