Surface treatmentCustomers' DemandServiceOEM ODM Customised
Pump, valve and pipeline accessories should be quoted through their connection geometry and intended service. This OEM/ODM enquiry names ductile-iron sand castings for water-supply applications, with customized size and surface treatment. Casting, optional machining and surface work can be defined around the requested component.
Dimension the accessory around its connections
Show the interfaces that connect the part to the pump, valve or pipeline assembly. Identify mounting faces, openings and other dimensions that control installation. Provide the selected ductile-iron grade and drawing revision so the material and dimensional requirements refer to the same accessory.
Describe the medium and operating conditions
State the intended medium, operating pressure and any other service conditions relevant to the component. Identify any project-specific material, coating or water-contact approval requirements for quotation. These requirements belong to the actual application and should be supplied with the drawing.
- Provide 2D PDF/CAD or 3D IGES/STEP component information.
- Select the material grade and required quantity.
- Mark machined interfaces and finished acceptance dimensions.
- Specify the requested surface treatment and delivered condition.
- Identify inspection and application-document requirements.
- Describe any carton or wooden-box packing needs.
Define the casting and optional machining boundary
Identify which surfaces remain in the casting scope and which need finished machining. Surface treatment follows customer requirements, so name the required condition and any interfaces needing particular instructions. Broader iron, steel and aluminum component requests are separate material enquiries to specify independently.
Address qualification documents for the order
ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS are stated references. Identify the relevant document scope required for purchasing and any application-specific acceptance. A pipeline-use description should be accompanied by the actual component requirements rather than treated as a pressure class or water-contact approval.
