Custom cast-component enquiries can be developed from design through to the required delivered part. This scope includes ductile-iron sand-casting and OEM machining requests, with aluminum components specified separately. Size, wall thickness and surface treatment are customized around the drawing.
Use wall thickness and interfaces to define the component
Provide the complete part geometry and mark the wall-thickness requirements established by the design. Show the surfaces that connect with the surrounding assembly and the dimensions that govern fit. Select the ductile-iron or aluminum grade so the material and drawing requirements concern one identifiable part.
- Submit the controlling component drawing and revision.
- Identify the metal grade and required quantity.
- Dimension walls, mounting points and other critical interfaces.
- Specify the requested machining and delivered surface condition.
- Define material, dimensional and finished-product acceptance.
- Identify the design or supply support needed for the project.
Allocate casting and machining work clearly
For a ductile-iron request, define the sand-cast component and the interfaces requiring machining. An aluminum enquiry needs its own grade and agreed manufacturing route. This keeps the cast shape, finished dimensions and supplied condition consistent within each component proposal.
Agree the inspection and full-process support
The stated inspection scope includes raw-material control, heat-treatment checks and finished-product inspection. Identify the required material condition and the acceptance records needed for the ordered part. Design-to-delivery service, flexible scheduling and fast response are named support options. Describe the work required at each stage so the quotation can address the actual component and project scope.
