Gray- or ductile-iron sand-cast valve components can be requested for oil, gas, water-supply and chemical-pipeline projects. CNC machining and painting are listed. Define the actual component drawing or sample and the intended valve duty before selecting the material and supplied state.

Specify the iron grade for the chosen valve part

Ductile-iron grade requests include GGG40, GGG50 and GGG60. Identify the complete designation, governing standard and required condition; a gray-iron selection needs its own material requirement. State the actual medium, pressure and temperature conditions relevant to the component’s acceptance.

Locate the connections and sealing geometry

Show the relationship to adjoining valve or pipeline parts. Mark datums and dimensional limits at the interfaces governing assembly. Drilling, milling, boring and tapping are named machining services; assign the required operations and measurement conditions to the selected geometry.

  • Define cast-state and finished-surface boundaries.
  • Specify paint coverage and any additional requested surface process.
  • Mark masking and contact conditions at working interfaces.
  • Identify material, dimensional and service-duty acceptance tests and the records needed to assess the selected duty criteria.

Connect drawing or sample approval to the order

Provide quantity and identify the controlling revision or sample requirement. Explain what the reference component demonstrates and which drawing dimensions govern the supplied result. Keep the selected grade, connection geometry and inspection records attached to the approval brief for the actual valve casting.
