Drawing-based casting enquiries include iron, zinc, stainless steel, aluminum alloy or brass parts. Select a suitable sand, lost-wax investment or die-casting route for the actual material and geometry. Size, tolerances, color and surface treatment follow the customer’s component requirements.

Define one material and component at a time

Provide the complete grade and required condition for the selected order. Show how the part mounts, locates or contacts neighboring components. Identify the datum relationships and dimensional limits that determine its function, with the supplied stage used for acceptance clearly stated.

Describe the custom surface requirements

Choose the treatment and appearance reference appropriate to the substrate. Mark coverage and any masking needed at fitted or working areas. Relate visual acceptance to identified faces and dimensional approval to the surface condition required at delivery.

  • Provide quantity and the controlled revision.
  • Mark cast and any further-processed areas.
  • Identify material and dimensional approval records.
  • Define what a sample must demonstrate.

Set the inspection and qualification brief

The stated 100% inspection should have agreed characteristics, methods and records for the selected component. Define the acceptance criteria needed to assess the material, final geometry and surface. Request relevant ISO9001 certificate scope alongside those requirements. Use the same drawing and supplied-state definition for sample and production approval, keeping the chosen material and casting route attached to an explicit order basis.
