Custom foundry enquiries cover aluminum and aluminum alloy parts through sand casting and die casting. Steel, stainless steel, iron and grey iron components are separate material enquiries requiring a suitable grade and route. OEM and ODM work follows customer drawings for the selected part.
Match the metal to the component duty
Applications include industrial parts, automotive, machinery, construction and hardware. Identify the actual component, its working environment and its assembly interfaces. Choose the complete material designation before agreeing a casting route. Keep the aluminum processes distinct from the route selected for any steel or iron request.
Define the work after casting
The service sequence includes casting, machining when needed and surface treatment. Mark dimensions requiring additional operations and identify the condition in which they must be accepted. Specify the desired surface result on visible areas separately from the requirements for mating or locating features.
Provide controlled design and acceptance inputs
Drawing formats are STP, IGS, DXF and PDF. Identify the governing revision when several files are supplied and state the dimensional limits for functional interfaces. ISO 9001:2008 is the quality reference; establish the applicable document and scope for the order.
- State the selected metal, quantity and required supplied condition.
- Identify critical interfaces and any application-specific requirements.
- Agree inspection coverage, approval stages and acceptance records.
Where the design changes, explain its effect on the chosen alloy, route and finished dimensions. Keep repeat quotations connected to the same component specification so the enquiry remains specific to the ordered metal part.
