OEM and ODM custom casting enquiries include cast-iron or ductile-iron sand-cast parts, alongside separate zinc, aluminum, copper and steel formed components. Select the full grade and incoming form for the actual item. Thickness and color are customized to the selected component requirements.

Specify the forming work on its own drawing

Punching, stamping, bending and riveting are named process choices. Identify which operations are requested for the chosen blank and show the geometry that must be delivered. The forming brief should distinguish that component from any separately ordered casting.

  • Provide 2D/3D CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF or IGS information.
  • State quantity and the controlled revision.
  • Define material condition and required thickness.
  • Mark mounting and mating interfaces.

Set the finished dimensions and surface

Identify the datums and relationships governing assembly fit, including any areas that need a particular delivered condition. Electroplating, powder coating, sandblasting and lacquer are named finish choices. Specify the actual treatment and masking boundaries for the substrate, with appearance and contact-surface acceptance defined.

Establish the inspection and approval request

Define the actual tests and acceptance criteria needed for the ordered geometry and material. Identify the dimensional and surface records required to approve the supplied condition. Any sample decision should use the same drawing revision, grade and final-state requirements as the production order, so the accepted component remains clearly defined through subsequent supply.
