ToleranceCustomer's Drawing Request
Large wind-turbine hubs can be requested through OEM/ODM sand casting in ASTM A536 Grade65-45-12 ductile iron. Gray-iron or automotive-machinery components are separate enquiries. Select the complete governing specification and required material condition around the actual hub drawing and turbine duty.
Define the hub’s equipment relationships
Show mounting and mating geometry with the adjoining turbine components. Identify actual dimensions and the locating references controlling installation. State the equipment duty and acceptance limits needed for the selected large hub rather than relying on size or application labels alone.
Set supplied-state dimensional acceptance
Customized size and tolerances follow the customer drawing. Distinguish regions accepted in the cast state from interfaces needing another final result. Establish measurement conditions for relationships evaluated together when approving the hub against its mating equipment.
Scope inspection and quality records
The stated 100% inspection under an ISO9001 system needs actual checks and records for the component. Identify material, dimensional and surface evidence required for hub acceptance. Request applicable system documentation with the relevant holder and activity scope.
- State hub or separate machinery-part quantity and the controlling revision.
- Define a complete independent specification for any gray-iron component.
- Identify required surface conditions at working or visible areas.
- Retain accepted grade and turbine-interface decisions within the hub record.
Confirm further castings against the selected wind-turbine equipment design and its approved supplied condition.
