Stainless-steel or gray-iron sand castings can be requested through OEM/ODM enquiries, with separate carbon-steel, brass and bronze-alloy parts and machining. Choose the complete grade and compatible process for the actual item. Define its geometry and required supplied condition against the intended duty.
Assign dimensions and precision requirements
For size requests within 1–440 mm, identify the relevant dimension and supplied stage on the drawing. An unsigned 0.01 mm machining requirement needs its controlled feature, permitted deviation and measurement conditions agreed. Define the unit and actual face for any Ra1.6 surface requirement.
Select the finishing procedure
Polishing, plating, Picking, heat treatment, galvanizing and chrome-related requests require the actual process and compatible substrate to be established. Identify treated areas and their final contact or appearance result. Mark masking where surface work affects installation or dimensional acceptance.
Define quality-document scope
Request complete applicable TUV/ISO, SGS and OHSAS records with the relevant holder, activity and component scope. Identify the material, dimensional and surface evidence needed for the selected item’s approval. Show mounting and mating relationships with the references controlling fit.
- State the casting or separate machined part’s quantity and current revision.
- Describe the operating environment and working duty.
- Explain the required initial-component assessment.
- Retain accepted grade and finishing decisions within the supplied-item definition.
Confirm further requests against that component’s approved geometry and condition for the selected cast or machined item.
