The customer drawing defines size and required supplied condition. Specify the complete grade and actual work scope for each part before comparing the manufacturing proposal.
Relate the functional areas to a clear datum scheme
Identify the mounting and mating geometry and the dimensions that control their relationship. The component envelope should accompany those interface details so that the quotation concerns the complete part. Show which areas are accepted as cast and which require a finished operation.
Coordinate CNC work and treatment boundaries
Machining is included where needed, followed by the customer-requested surface treatment. Mark the required finished dimensions and any surfaces where coating or masking affects assembly. Define the final appearance and contact-surface condition as part of the delivered component requirement.

- State quantity and the controlled drawing revision.
- Identify material, dimensional and surface acceptance records.
- Define any sample approval required for the selected part.
Align qualification and delivery instructions
ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS are qualification or conformity references; identify the applicable documents and supplier or component scope. Carton or wooden-box packing is named. Include separation and protection requirements for the finished interfaces, and use the same drawing revision and supplied condition for any sample decision and subsequent production acceptance.
