Turn the strength request into part requirements
Describe the working loads, contact conditions and environment relevant to the component. Identify the properties and acceptance criteria required by the design, together with the records needed to assess them. This gives the requested strength a defined material and application basis.
Show where dimensions control equipment fit
Mark locating faces, mating details and attachment geometry on the controlled drawing. Include datum relationships and allowable limits for the interfaces that determine installation.
