    Inlay Casting

Custom metal components can be requested through compatible lost-wax investment, vacuum, sand or die-casting routes with optional machining. Material choices include steel, aluminum alloy, zinc alloy, iron, stainless steel, brass and copper. Select the complete grade and supplied condition for each actual part.

Define the inlay and component interfaces

Inlay casting is a separate capability requiring the insert material and geometry to be specified. Identify interface and retention requirements for the selected design. Keep the inlay scope connected to the actual cast component and its compatible manufacturing route.

Assign precision at the supplied stage

For the unsigned 0.01–0.05 mm tolerance requirement, define permitted limits, their convention and controlled features. Mark locating references and measurement conditions relevant to the final fit. Distinguish cast-state regions from interfaces needing further machining.

Specify finishing and application requirements

Power coating, polishing, anodizing and electroplating are named requests requiring the intended procedure and compatible substrate agreed. Identify coverage, final appearance and working-contact condition. Electrical, medical, automotive/motorcycle and communication components need their actual duty and acceptance criteria.

  • OEM/ODM size and color are customized for the selected item.
  • State component quantity and the controlling drawing revision.
  • Identify material, dimensional, surface and inlay-acceptance records.
  • Explain what an initial component must demonstrate at its working interfaces.

Retain accepted grade, insert and process decisions within the component definition used for repeat supply.
